The 2006 associates
From left to right, Gary Ferland, Ryan Porter, Gargi Shaw, Terry Yun, & Nick Abel
In LexingtonGary Ferland first met Cloudy at IOA Cambridge in August of 1978. Nick Abel is developing the molecular network for application to star-forming regions. Ryan Porter is doing a thesis on the He-like iso-electronic sequence. His site includes extensive tables giving He I emission coefficients. Gargi Shaw is working on the large model of the hydrogen molecule and doing a thesis on .the implications of molecular hydrogen spectra of the ISM.
Friends and foreign associatesPeter van Hoof created the current grain physics. He wrote most of the files grains.c, mie.c, and qheat.c, the files that include the grain physics, Mie scattering theory, and quantum heating routines. Kevin Volk created the original version of the quantum heating routines, and has been responsible for most of the routines that make it possible to use stellar atmosphere files. Fred Hamann, a frequent collaborator Kirk Korista worked in the project during the mid-1990s.
