the line "6lev 1304A" in differs by 0.3 dex between 32 and 64 bit compilations

addendum - this appears random, not 32/64 bit. vs08 and icl on vista get different results, and gcc and icc on the bcx get different results.

these different results appear to be the result of different numbers of iterations, which in turn are the result of checking on the convergence of the outward Hb.

we have never checked on the convergence of outward lines. it appears that the code is not up to this.
